The sun comes, the sun goes, the temps rise, the temps drop and it’s the return of the snow. Today I woke up to the sun shining and now its obscured by a massive cover of clouds. I wish Spring would hurry and get here (again) and stay for while. I don’t even mind a little rain because, then, I know what will follow - some much needed green to be followed by pinks and oranges and yes, even some blues. As an aside, I found a wee caterpillar on my patio last night outside and I thought the little critter might catch cold. I picked it up and brought it up to the balcony where I put it in a pot of eventually to be blooming perennials and covered it with a leaf - okay so it was a crispy leaf left over from last year but hey, at least it provided some shelter from a pending storm…

"I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy of nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin." Coco Chanel, April 29, 1939

Something sudden, a windfall, a meteor shower. No— a flowering tree releasing all its blossoms at once, and the one standing beneath it unexpectedly robed in bloom, transformed into a stranger too beautiful to touch. —Lisel Mueller ~ How I Would Paint Happiness from Imaginary Paintings

One of those old faves… for the longest time, I was obsessed with rounded corners but I removed  and re-sized the original image  for Tumblr-dom since those blankety-blank spaces look so weird.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch, rainbow-ey bokeh’s always a reason to smile.  Pippity-pop!!
Besides, I need a reason to smile.  It’s been Spring officially for a few weeks and it snowed tonight.  Minimal flurries… but still.  FFS.  And, oh, it doesn’t end there does it?  No.  Go on ask me what’s going to be falling out of the sky on Wednesday… three guesses and the first two don’t count… and it ain’t popcorn and it ain’t Skylab.  Meh.

The Palais des congrès de Montréal is a convention centre located in the Quartier International. It’s famous rainbow glass windows are the feature that people either love or hate. Can you guess which side of the rainbow I am sitting on??
Okay, don’t hurt your head trying to come up with an answer but, on any sunny day, when you are standing there bathed in that rainbow of colour and basking in the warmth of the sun, I double dog dare you not to shriek with delight… wait, better make that de-light.

So, when you were a kid which carrousel horse did you choose? I always went for the white one because, of course, all princesses ride a majestic white steed, non?? And if it happened to be a merry-go-round without horses?? Well, that’s easy, this princess always picked the frog!!
